- Messages in iCloud are updated automatically, so you always have the same view everywhere you use iMessage. When you delete a message, photo, or conversation on one device, it’s removed from all of your devices. And since all of your attachments are stored in iCloud, you can save space on your device.
- Sep 28, 2013 These steps did work for me and the icloud address no longer appears when new text conversations are created. However, for existing conversations I am not able to send messages. It is 'undeliverable' when I attempt to send a text both via imessage and SMS text on pre-existing conversations.

- Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure that your time zone is set correctly.
Turn off and restart iMessage and FaceTime
- Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
- Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
- Restart your device:
- Turn iMessage and FaceTime back on.
Still not activated after a day?
It might take up to 24 hours to activate iMessage and FaceTime. If the issue continues after 24 hours, follow these steps:
- Make sure that your device has the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.
- If you're using an iPhone, contact your carrier to make sure that you can send and receive SMS messages.
- If your iPhone is used with a carrier not found in the wireless carrier articles make sure you can send and receive international SMS.
- Contact Apple Support.
Long story short, iMessage isn't perfect, but Messages in iCloud aims to fix all of these problems. Going forward, your messages are stored in a central spot, and sent to any device you connect to.

Jason derulo savage love deezer. Hey there peters613,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you have some concerns about your iCloud and iMessage accounts. I’ll be happy to help with this.
An Apple ID is used for both iMessage and iCloud. On your iOS device, go to Settings > Your Name and see what the Apple ID is at the top of the screen. From there, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see what Apple ID is signed in. If it’s the same, you’re signed into just one account and you don’t need to make any changes. It’s not possible to sync one iCloud account with another. If you go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and you are signed in with a different account, you can sign out of the incorrect account and back in with the correct one. It may depend on which account you want to use but if you want to use.
